Since forever I have been trying to reduce bulk trash. Picking up large bulky furniture items is no longer in my game plan. But there is another way to approach it. Find things that can be made into other things. So the damaged furniture or short piece of lumber, or as is the case here, rails from a bedframe and doors from a cedar closet, can be used to make something else. And yeah, I am taking advantage of the “business listings are allowed on Sundays” because i have to pay for this “hobby.” So before you throw out your curbside think about what might be reusable – think broadly – old lampshade, box of nails, piece of wood, dishware, broken furniture. And message me. If I can’t make something out of it , I have a list of a number of artists that utilize “junk” in their work. For example I recently sold a box of piano keys to a local artist. And by the way if we reduce bulk trash, it saves the town, that is , you, money. And buying local keeps money local.
