Hopkins School has recently replaced their dining room furniture. When Urbanminers was called to assist with finding homes for some of the 300 + chairs and 50+ tables, the first thought I had was that perhaps some of the local Hopkins Alumni would want these. The idea was to provide an opportunity at a minimal cost of $ 10.00 per chair and $ 25.00 per table – enough to cover handling and transportation. Out of about 20 connections made, at least half of the sales went to Hopkins Alumni. In total we have so far re-homed 165 chairs and 20 tables.
