Remodeling? Rebuilding?
Urban Miners helps you make environmentally conscious choices while creating the home you’ve always wanted.
We can have interior finishes such as flooring, kitchen cabinets, doors, hardware, fixtures, trim and more salvaged before renovations or demolitions. Urban Miners will help you find buyers through our extensive network of customers— often substantially reducing your disposal fees and saving good stuff from the landfill at the same time.
Deconstruction Consultation and Project Management
In cooperation with our contractor partners, we consult on the deconstruction process: taking apart structures as a partial or full alternative to demolition. In many cases, it is possible to save up to 80% of the building materials for resale from site and/or donation to local not-for-profit reuse centers.
We can help your general contractor become knowledgeable about reuse alternatives and coordinate the sales of those goods for you in the regional reuse marketplace—saving you money and possibly giving you tax advantages!
Home/Estate Clean Outs
Urban Miners helps ready you for your move and prepare you for estate clean outs and sales. Before coordinating disposal, we sort through your items to determine reusability. This sets us apart from our competitors, who are quick to dumpster what others find valuable.
Waste Management Audits and Reuse Education
Urban Miners provides green audits for your business for cost savings and waste reduction. Owner Joe DeRisi is available for speaking engagements and provides educational workshops locally and virtually.
Joe has been a guest on CT Public Radio’s Colin McEnroe show and WTIV, Channel 30, CT’s NBC affiliate.
