Salvaging Materials from a Commercial Building – 370-384 Davenport Avenue in New haven. For building history look under our project ” A New Haven Bench” . We salvaged 1700 square feet of maple roller skating rink flooring ( reused as office walls, the flooring in a residential rec room, another residential floor, reclaimed wood furniture ,and for garden boxes.) We also salvaged the 1×6 yellow pine sub floor (700 square feet) and some warehouse sc. 1900 helving that was apparently shipping containers before that. Also some 2 x 8 Douglas Fir, and interior office doors. We used some of the flooring on The New Haven Bench project as well.
